Girls AloudBritain’s best selling female pop group Girls Aloud exploded onto the North East stage this week with a fantastic tour compromising fashion, fireworks and fabulous music.

The girls made a welcome return to Newcastle with their sell out fourth tour Out of Control and excited fans were not disappointed with the extravagant show.

In a one hour and forty minute set, the record breaking group made five stunning costume changes and performed amazing choreographed routines on the lavishly designed stage.

Nothing about this show hints at the girls reality TV show background. These girls are seasoned professionals, executing every note and dance move perfectly.

From the outset when the band assended on rising pedestals from beneath the stage singing The Promise, the biggest cheers were reserved for local golden girl Cheryl Cole, who was clearly moved by the adoring audience reception.

The home-coming was undoubtedly more emotional for Geordie Cheryl whose friends and family were in the audience for the sell out show at the city’s Metro Radio Arena.

With a mixed set of songs from their Number 1 album Out of Control and old favourites such as Love Machine and Sound of the Underground, the girls delivered a stunningly high powered show.

Fantastic versions of Britney Spears hit Womanizer and James Morrison’s Broken Strings demonstrated the girls surprisingly flawless voices left many fans bouncing up and down with approval.

A moving platform transported the girls above the heads of the crowd to a centre stage as they performed their latest hit Untouchable and a pole dancing routine allowed the five piece to explore a more mature image.

Fantastic costume changes meant the crowd were treated to Lady GaGa style futuristic suits, body-con dresses and stunning feather trimmed cocktail dresses.

From the first song to the outstanding mega-mix finale compromising all of their greatest hits, the crowd could not get enough of these five beautiful and talented ladies. A ten out of ten for this stunning show which packed the hits in and left the crowd screaming for more.

Lets just hope these lovely ladies return next year with another fantastic offering. The tour is surely the best yet and if you missed the girls this week, make sure you get your tickets for their Newcastle bonus shows on the 5th and 6th of June.
